I have mixed feelings about this, to be honest. At times I like it; at others, it's at best annoying and at worst, downright problematic for any number of possible reasons. It would be nice to have more control over it - including the ability to control the settings individually for each friend one has.

Wendy

It's the most absurd thing. The fact that Facebook hasn't provided an option for what one wants to be notified of is one of the reasons I hardly use FB.
The event invitations get ridiculous too. There should be a way to exempt oneself from all this spam.
Truthfully, I'd only like to be notified of ANYTHING on a handful of ppl on my friends list. The rest are just there for communication purposes only.
