How Can I See My Facebook Fans?

If you can’t figure out how to view a list of your Facebook Page’s fans all of a sudden, you’re not alone. I’ve answered this question several times the past few days and the reason is that whereas up until a few days ago, clicking on the “like this” link in the left sidebar on a Facebook Page opened a list of all of your Page’s fans, it now links to the Insight page for that metric.

Don’t worry, Facebook still lets you see who your fans are and there are two ways. The quickest way is to be sure you’re using your Page as your Page and not as yourself and then click the little people icon in the blue bar next to the Facebook logo. This will open a drop down showing the last five people or Pages that have Liked your Page. Click on “See All” at the bottom of the drop down to see all of your fans.

The other way to see your fans is to click on the “like this” link below the number of fans in the left sidebar as you have before and then click on “See Likes” in the top right corner of the Insight page.

Note: There appears to be a limit on the number of fans Facebook will let us see so if you have thousands of fans I don’t know of a way to get a list of all of them. I believe the limit is 500.

I’ve never counted and can’t find any definitive answer as to the exact number but you’re correct, it won’t show all fans for Page’s who have thousands.

Am I right in saying that the full list you see after clicking “See Likes” in Insights is shows all fans in reverse chronological order of liking the page? Do you know of a way to export this list?

There is no official way to export the list although there is apparently a way to hack the information. There was a guy who had a script that would do it and he made it quite clear on his page that it probably violated Facebook’s terms but that script stopped working when Facebook made the recent changes and he hasn’t been able to get it working again. I won’t post a link to the script because I don’t want to be responsible for anyone having their Page shut down for using it but I’m sure you can find it on Google.

is there a way to look up fans by name? I have over a couple thousand fans and need to find out someone specifically… an actual stalker… I want to be able to ‘ban’ him from my page but I don’t seem to habe able to view all the fans…

No, there’s not way to search for a fan by name. The only way to ban a fan is to wait for them to post or comment on your Page and then delete and ban them.

1) Open up the screen as highlighted in this article
2) Manually highlight all the names (Click at the top and then drag your mouse all the way down to the bottom)
3) Copy the names (ctrl-C)
4) Open Excel
5) Alt-E-S to “Paste Special”, then select “Text” (Otherwise it will post the photos over all the names)
6) There you have it, a list of all your likes. From there you can search for their name.

You then also prob want to use the find and replace tool to replace all the “Make Admin” And “Remove Admin” with a blank cell

Actually, this method will only pull up to 500 or so names. After you load 5 pages of 100 names the “show more” button will no longer appear.

Hi. I think there is no way so far to see all the people who liked our page. When I follow the instructions, I only see hundred among the thousand who liked my page. I hope Facebook can fix this. If there’s another way, please share it to us.

Well Facebook that is pathetic. We bust our ass getting thousands of likes and then Facebook cannot be bothered to give us any access to them. I need to be able to search for a specific person who likes us to make him an admin or perhaps I want to ban a stalker before he posts or who knows what. It is as if Facebook are just not trying. this is core functionality. Very disappointing.

Why would you need access to your fans? When you post something on your Page your fans see it. Contacting them in any other way would be spam since Liking a Page does not mean someone is opting in to receive messages or emails from you.

Your examples don’t really seem to support the need to see more than the last 500 fans though. The chances you would know who a stalker was but not have known that while he was still in the last 500 fans is slim and waiting until that person posted so you could delete the post and ban them doesn’t seem that inconvenient to me. As for making someone an admin, there’s a lot easier way to do it than searching through hundreds of fans, you just add them using their email address.

The list is in order starting with the newest fan.
